Delta Reign is released on 6 November, and Mega Evolution continues

Mega Evolution: Delta Reign is released on 6 November. It is the sixth main set of the Mega Evolution series, built around Mega Rayquaza.

Prereleases start on 24 October in shops that run tournaments. They are played with the Build & Battle Box: it is the cheapest way to get the cards in hand before the release.

The series does not stop there

In Japan, where sets come out several months before Europe, two more sets in the series have already been announced: Aura Seeker, due in November 2026, and MEGA x MEGA Parade, in February 2027. The set symbol of the English version of Aura Seeker has already been shown. So expect at least one more Mega Evolution set here in 2027; neither its date nor its French name is official.

At the World Championships, held in San Francisco in late August, The Pokémon Company also presented a new series, “ex★”, showcased with Suicune, Entei and Raikou. No date was given.

What this changes for a buyer

As long as a series continues, the sets within it are generally restocked, at least for the standard products. Boxes from an intermediate set (the “.5” codes, printed in shorter runs) are the exception: they often disappear from the shelves before the others.

So there is no rush for Delta Reign: its retail price should remain affordable for a few months. The release calendar will be updated as soon as The Pokémon Company announces the European dates, which generally happens six to eight weeks before the products go on sale.

Correction

An earlier version of this article presented Delta Reign as the last set of the Mega Evolution series. That was inaccurate: the Japanese announcement of Aura Seeker and MEGA x MEGA Parade contradicts it.
